Corporate Services

The Corporate Services award recognizes achievement in the functional areas of Finance, IT, Human Resources or Legal for an individual who has made significant contributions to their organization that supports the store brands industry.

Key Competencies could include:

Financial Management: Demonstrating expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and cost management to ensure the efficient and effective allocation of resources within the organization.

Human Resources Management: Exhibiting proficiency in human resources practices, including talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Legal and Compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, managing contracts and legal agreements, and providing legal support and advice to protect the organization's interests.

IT and Technology Management: Managing IT infrastructure, systems, and processes, including data security, network management, software solutions, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.

Facilities and Asset Management: Overseeing facilities management, maintenance, and capital asset planning to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for employees and the effective utilization of physical resources.

Risk Management: Identifying and managing organizational risks, developing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing policies and procedures to protect the organization's assets, reputation, and business continuity.

Corporate Governance and Ethics: Upholding high standards of corporate governance and promoting ethical behavior throughout the organization, including transparency, accountability, and adherence to codes of conduct and policies.

Internal Communications: Developing and implementing effective internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement, alignment with organizational goals, and a sense of belonging within the corporate services functions.
